知っている人も多いと思いますが、台湾では多くの人がバイクを使っています。その為に、どこにいても凄い数のバイクが走っています。本当にありがたい事に、私も会社からバイクを借りて使っていました。バイクがあると行動範囲が一気に広がるので本当に助かります。
As many people may know, Taiwan is a place where a lot of people use bikes. So there are a great number of bikes running everywhere. Thankfully, I was able to borrow a bike from my company and use it, which was really helpful in expanding my range of movement.
台湾はたくさんバイクが走っているので、時々危険だと感じる事はあります。事故も結構多いようです。私も危ないと感じることがありましたので、気をつけて運転をしていました。
However, since there are so many bikes running in Taiwan, I sometimes felt it was dangerous. There are quite a lot of accidents happening there, and I took care to drive carefully since I also felt it was risky.
そして、台湾は右側通行です。日本とは逆になります。最初の頃は、急いでいる時に左折などをすると間違えそうになりました。
In addition, Taiwan is a right-side traffic country, which is opposite to Japan. At first, I almost made mistakes when I was in a hurry and had to turn left.
台湾では、よく犬がバイクに乗っています。もちろん、運転している訳ではないですが、運転手の足元におとなしく乗っています。しかも、結構な速度が出ているバイクで犬が乗っています。かなり頻繁に見るので凄いです。
IIn Taiwan, it is common to see dogs riding on the bike. Of course, they are not driving the bike, but they sit quietly at the driver’s feet. Moreover, they seem to be used to riding on high-speed bikes. It is quite amazing to see it happening so frequently.
うちの学校の先生が台湾人にそれを聞いてみたら、逆に何で日本人はしないのかと聞かれていました。台湾では、犬がバイクに乗るのは普通の事のようです。ちゃんと乗っていますから、犬も普通に乗れるのかもしれませんね。
When one of the teachers at my school asked a Taiwanese person about it, they wondered why Japanese dogs don’t do it. In Taiwan, it seems like it’s normal for dogs to ride on the bike. Since they ride properly, maybe dogs can ride normally as well.
