私はテレビを１０年以上持っていません。そして過去１０年間で半分は海外で暮らしていますので、殆ど日本のテレビを見る事もありません。たまにテレビを見ると本当に知らない人ばかりです。
I haven’t owned a TV set for over 15 years, and I’ve lived abroad for about half of the past 10 years, so I rarely watch Japanese TV. When I do watch it, I often don’t recognize the people on it.
テレビに出ている人を見て、たまたま私が知らないのか？それとも一般的にそこまで知られていない人なのか？それすらも分かりません。
When I see people on TV and don’t know them, I don’t know if they’re famous or not.
未だに皆藤愛子さんが、芸能界で一番可愛いのだと思っています。ファンではないですよ。というか、２５歳未満の子を見ても可愛いとかの対象でなく子供にしか思えなくなっています。
I still think that Aiko Kaito is the cutest TV talent. Actually, I don’t find people under 25 cute; they just seem like children to me.
ただ、ネットのニュースなどは見ます。芸能などはあまり興味はないですが、それでも目にする事があります。
However, I sometimes check internet news, including some TV news.
その中で、吉田羊さんという人の名前が「ひつじ」さんなのか、「よう」さんなのか、ずっと分からないままです。
Among them, there is a person named Yoshida Hitsuji or Yoshida You, and I still don’t know which one it is.
また、土屋太風さんのような人がいますね。風が字がもっと複雑な字のようですが、この人の名前が「たふう」さんと読むのか、何と読むのか分かりません。
There is also someone like Tafu Tsuchiya, whose name appears to be written in a more complicated character for “風.” I don’t know if her name is pronounced “tafu” or something else.
さらに言えば、米津玄師さんの名前はフルネームで分かりません。調べればすぐに出てくるのでしょうが、知らべなくても困らないのと、知らないままこのブログネタをまた使おうかなと思って調べないでいます。
Furthermore, I don’t know the full name of 米津玄師. I could easily look it up, but I don’t really need to know and I might use it as a blog topic later without knowing.
そして最近、新たな問題がいくつか出てきました。サチモス を発音するときに、サチを強く発音するのか？モスを強く発音するのか？また、ワニマの場合も、ワを強く発音するのか？マを強く発音するのか？わかりません。
Recently, there have been a few new issues. When pronouncing “sachmos,” do you emphasize “sach” or “mos”? The same goes for “wanima”: do you emphasize “wa” or “ma”?
さらに言えば、みんな同じように思っていると思いますが、「みちょぱ」と「ゆきぽよ」って人は同じ人に見えます。それに名前も覚えられない。みちょぱって名前なの？最近知った「あいみょん」って人も名前なの？最近の人の名前はむずかしい！
Also, I think everyone feels the same way, but “Michopa” and “Yukipoyo” look like the same person to me. I can’t even remember their names. Is Michopa her real name? And is “Aimyon,” whom I recently learned about, also a stage name? Modern names are so complicated!
