今日は私がオーストラリアに住んでいた時の親友とその料理を紹介します。彼は私と同じ大学院のクラスメイトでもありシェアメイトでもありました。ちなみに、彼は現在アフリカの国立大学で大学教授をやっており、数年前に彼らの家に招待してもらいました。

Today, I’d like to introduce my friend and his cooking from when I lived in Australia. He was not only my classmate in graduate school, but also my sharemate. By the way, he’s currently a university professor at a national university in Africa, and a few years ago, I was invited to his house.

凄くいい時間を過ごす事が出来ました。彼は本当に優しく気持ちの良い男です。こういう事はあまりいうべきか分かりませんが、私は基本的に黒人や茶色の肌の人たちは良い奴が多いように感じています。

I had a really great time. He’s a truly kind and pleasant man. I’m not sure if I should say this, but I generally feel that many black or brown-skinned people are good guys.

中には本当にどうしようもない馬鹿な奴もいましたが、基本的には良い奴が多いです。彼もまた本当に良い奴です。私は彼の事は世界一いい奴だと思っています。私は彼と彼の奥さんと家をシェアをしていたのですが、彼らと一緒に暮していた時間は本当に貴重な時間でした。

There were some really hopeless idiots among them, but generally speaking, they’re good people. He’s also a really good guy. I think he’s the best guy in the world. I shared a house with him and his wife, and the time I spent with them was really precious.

私たちは交互に日替わりで料理を作っていたのですが、彼らは本当に美味しい料理を私に作ってくれました。その料理を紹介します。

We took turns cooking each day, and they made really delicious dishes for me. Let me introduce some of them.
