While there are beauty salons tailored for Japanese people in Malaysia,
私はあえて地元の美容院に行ってみることにしました。
I chose to visit a local salon.
それを会社の同僚に話したら、
When I mentioned this to my colleagues at work,
「絶対に金正恩カットになるからやめておけ」と言われたんです。
one of them warned me, “You’ll end up with a Kim Jong-un haircut for sure, so you better not go.”
私はいくらなんでもそんな訳がないと思って美容院に行ったんですね。
I thought there was no way that could be true, so I went ahead and visited the salon.
美容院に入ったら、店内に３０枚ほどカットモデルの写真が貼られていたのですが
Upon entering the salon, I noticed about 30 photos of haircut models displayed throughout the shop.
全てのモデルが金正恩カットだった。
Every single model had a Kim Jong-un-style haircut.
観念した。
I surrendered to the inevitable.
