以前、転職活動で日本語、英語、論理思考の問題を受けた
Previously, during my job search, I took tests on Japanese, English, and logical reasoning.
試験の結果として、日本語９５点、英語１００点だった。
The results showed 95 points in Japanese and 100 points in English.
ただ、論理思考の問題が駄目駄目だった。
However, I performed poorly on the logical reasoning section.
私は完全に理系人間なので、論理思考には自信があった。
As someone entirely from a scientific background, I had confidence in my logical thinking.
私は自分自身を論理思考とエロスだけで構成されていると思っていたのだが、
I used to think of myself as composed solely of logic and eros.
論理思考がなくなった今はただのエロスの塊になってしまった。
But now that the logical thinking is gone, I’ve become just a mass of eros.
論理思考の試験の中の問題で
In one of the logical reasoning questions:
「飛行機の機体に異常がないのに、空港から空港まで陸地を走っています。なぜですか？」
“Why is an airplane running on land from one airport to another without any abnormalities in the aircraft?”
という問題が出てきた。
私は、「戦時中だったか、戦時パレード中だった」と答えた。
I answered, “It must have been during wartime or during a wartime parade.”
また他の問題で
In another question:
「マイナスの数字とマイナスの数字の積はプラスになります。なぜですか？」
“Why does the product of two negative numbers become positive?”
という問題が出てきた。
私は、「初耳です。きっと、そんな事はないと思う」と答えた。
I replied, “This is news to me. I’m sure that’s not the case.”
今でも、何が駄目だったのか全く分からない。
Even now, I have no idea what went wrong.
