This is a story from when I was living in Thailand. There was a moment when I suddenly lost consciousness while I was brushing my teeth.

When I regained consciousness, I noticed that I had dropped a glass cup, and some fragments had stuck into my leg.

Within my visible range, I removed the fragments, but it seemed that some were still lodged inside, causing pain. So, I decided to visit the hospital later.

There, I underwent a simple surgery to open up my leg and have the glass fragments removed.

The doctor reassured me, saying, “You’re all right now, so don’t worry,” and after a short while, I ended up going to a Muay Thai gym.

However, my leg started to hurt again.

I thought that the pain was probably because I did Muay Thai despite the wound not fully healing. So, I tried to rest for a while, but the pain persisted.n.

After some time, I went back to the hospital, and it turned out that I needed another operation to open up my leg once more.

The doctor showed me the fragments, saying, “Look what I found.”

I was wondering why he was able to say something like this.

Even the nurse said, “Look what came out.” I thought, “What about the ‘You’re all right now, so don’t worry’ thing they said before? Don’t they have something to say about that first?”

Their foolish remarks made me think, “Well, if I get better after this, it’s fine.” Isn’t it cunning to overcome the situation with such a foolish attitude?

And then, a few days after my leg had somewhat improved, I fractured the same area again.

What’s more, despite it not being fully healed, there was a time when I intentionally slammed my foot against the wall, causing excruciating pain. I truly felt cursed.

I recently came across a photo taken some time after the surgery, so I’ll share it below. It’s not a pleasant sight to look at.
