私は暖かい国に長く住んでいるためか、少し前に顔にシミが出来た。
I’ve been living in warm countries for a long time, so I developed some spots on my face not too long ago.
マレーシアに住んでいた時に、それを取ってもらうためにエステに行ってきた。
When I was living in Malaysia, I decided to go to an aesthetic clinic to have them removed.
私はシミさえ取ってくれれば良いと思っていたのだけど
I thought I’d be happy if they just took care of the spots,
担当のスタッフが強烈に色々と進めてきたので、少しくらいはお金を使ってあげないといけないと思い
but the staff there strongly recommended various treatments. Feeling obligated to spend some money since they were suggesting so much,
シミ取りの他に肌を綺麗にする施術と結構高いシミ取りクリームを買った
I ended up buying not only a spot removal treatment but also a rather expensive cream to improve my skin.
正直、肌の施術で一時的に綺麗にしてもらってもすぐに戻るだろうと思っている
Honestly, I believe that even if they make my skin temporarily beautiful with their treatments, it will revert soon after.
そのエステはお客の９割が日本人だそうでスタッフも少し日本語を話す。
私の鼻には結構、皮脂が詰まっていたらしく、スタッフがすごい皮脂が詰まっていると言っていた。
I heard that about 90% of the customers at that clinic are Japanese, and some of the staff speak a bit of Japanese.
そして、皮脂をとっている間に「すごい皮脂がたくさん、あ～汚い、あ～汚い」と言っていた。
Apparently, there was quite a lot of sebum clogged in my nose, and the staff commented on how much sebum was there. While removing it, they kept saying, “There’s so much sebum, eww, gross,” repeatedly.
そして「こういう肌のエステとかって初めてでしょ？」と聞いてきたので
Then they asked, “This is your first time getting this kind of skincare treatment, right?”
私が「初めてです」と答えると「でしょうね。あ～汚い、あ～汚い」と言ってくる。
When I said, “Yes, it is,” they continued with, “I thought so. Eww, gross.”
エステシャンって、こんなに汚いって言うものなのかな？
I wondered if this is how aestheticians usually talk
それとももっと施術を受けろってこと？と思っていると
or if they were suggesting I needed more treatments.
「あ～汚い、も～気持ち悪い」と言っていた
And then they said, “Eww, gross, so disgusting.”
私はもうやめてくれと思った。もともと肌の施術を受ける気なかったのにすごい目にあった
I just wanted them to stop. I hadn’t even planned on getting any skincare treatment in the first place, and yet, I ended up going through all this.
でも、終わってみたら鼻の毛穴がすごく綺麗になっていた。
But when it was over, I noticed that the pores on my nose were remarkably cleaner.
