This is a blog post I wrote previously when I was searching for a house in Tochigi prefecture.
現在、引越しを考えているので不動産屋を周って不動産を見ています。先日、問い合わせをして見せてもらった物件で少し不思議な物件がありました。
Currently, I’m considering moving, so I’ve been visiting real estate agencies and looking at properties. The other day, while viewing a property that I had inquired about, I came across something rather strange.
６階建てのマンションで最上階を見させてもらったのですが、その６階と５階には誰も住んでいないんです。
It was a six-story apartment building, and I was shown the top floor. However, the sixth and fifth floors were completely uninhabited.
不動産屋に６階と５階に誰も住んでいなのですが、大丈夫ですか？と聞かれてきました。正直、不思議すぎてあまり大丈夫じゃないと思った！！
The real estate agent asked me if it was alright despite no one living on the sixth and fifth floors. Honestly, it felt too strange and definitely not alright for me!
なぜ、住んでいないか不動産屋に聞いてみたのですが、その不動産屋も最近オーナーが変わったばかりで、その不動産屋も最近管理を始めたばかりだから分からないという事。
I asked the real estate agent why no one lived there, but even the agent, who had recently taken over the property, didn’t know because they had just started managing it.
もし、事故物件であったら、きっと耳に入ってくるし、事故物件サイトなどを見ても乗っていないし、そのような事も耳にしないという事で、不思議だと言っていました。
If it had been an accident-prone property, it would surely have been known, and there would have been records on accident property websites. But he said he hadn’t heard anything like that, and he had searched the internet for any information on accidents or issues related to the property, finding nothing. It was all so mysterious.
そこで改めて、そのような物件ですけど、大丈夫ですか？と聞かれたのですが、やっぱり不思議過ぎてあまり大丈夫じゃなかった！！
So, he asked me once again if I was okay with such a property, but it was still too bizarre, and I couldn’t feel okay about it.
どうしてなんだろうか？４階以下の階には殆どの部屋に人が住んでいるようなのですが、６階と５階には誰も住んでいないようなんです。郵便ポストを見ても４階以下は人の名前が書いてるのですが、５・６階には誰の名前もない。
Why is that? Most of the rooms below the fourth floor seemed to be occupied, but no one lived on the sixth and fifth floors. The mailboxes on the lower floors had people’s names written on them, but the fifth and sixth floors had no names at all.
何だろう？不思議です。雨漏りでも酷かったのかな？って前向きに思おうともしましたが、やっぱり大丈夫じゃなかった！！
I wondered what could be the reason. Could it have been severe leakage? I tried to think positively, but in the end, it still wasn’t fine for me.
