今日はカレーライスの日だそうです。

私だけかもしれませんが、カレーあるあるを書きます。
I would like to share a common story about curry.
スーパーに行くと、野菜がバラで安売りしている事があります。
Sometimes, when we go to the supermarket, we find some vegetables being sold at a reasonable price,
たとえば、ジャガイモや玉ねぎなどが１つ２５円とか３５円とかで売られている事がありますよね。
such as potatoes and onions being sold at 25 or 35 yen each.
そういう時に、とりあえず何かに使うだろう、いざとなったらカレーを作ろうと思ってジャガイモと玉ねぎを数個ずつ買ってしまいます。
In such cases, we tend to buy a few of them, thinking that we will use them someday or make curry out of them.
そして、カレーを作る事がほとんどなく、ジャガイモも少し芽が出始めそうになってから、
However, we often forget about them, and after a while, the potatoes start to sprout.
そろそろやばいからカレーを作りだします。
Then, we realize that we need to use them before they go bad and end up making curry with them.
このあるあるって私だけでしょうか？
Is this just me, or is this a common occurrence for others as well?
安いからと言って、目的でないものを買うのは最終的にはお金の節約にならないって学んでいます。
I have learned that buying things just because they are cheap, without having a purpose for them, doesn’t necessarily save money in the long run.
