今日は弟の日だそうです。
Today, it is younger brothers’ day.
私の家族は大家族で六人家族です。
My family is a big family of six people.
そして、最近では私はなぜか末っ子に見られる事が多いのですが、実は長男です。
And recently, for some reason, I’ve been mistaken for the youngest sibling a lot, but I’m actually the eldest son.
しかも弟が三人もいます。
What’s more, I have three younger brothers.
私は今までに日本を含めると５ヶ国に住んでいますが、日本だけに限らずに、海外でも最初のうちは危ないオッサンに思われる事が多いです。
I’ve lived in five countries, including Japan, and not just in Japan, but also overseas, I’m often seen as a dangerous middle-aged man at first.
ジャパニーズ侍みたいな感じで思われます。全く全く侍的な部分は欠片もないし恐れ多すぎる気持ちですが、ただ暫くすると単なる自由なオッサンだと思われ始めるようです。
It’s like being seen as a Japanese samurai. I don’t have any samurai-like qualities at all, and it’s too much to be feared, but after a while, it seems that people start to see me as just a carefree middle-aged man.
だから、末っ子に見られるのかもしれません。
So maybe that’s why I’m seen as the youngest.
私は自分の事を28歳だと息子や親戚の子にいっています。
I tell my son and relatives’ children that I’m 28 years old.
ある時期までは、自分の息子にもそれで通っていたのですが、私の姪っ子になんでコッケ（私の事）は、お父さんのお兄ちゃんなのに、お父さんよりも年下なの？って余計なことを聞いてきました。
At one point, even my son believed it. However, my niece asked me why I was younger than my older brother, even though I was supposed to be his older brother. It was an unnecessary question.
私が抜かれたんだよって説明してからバレました。
I explained that I had lied, but then she found out.
その後は少子高齢化対策だよって説明したのですが、キョトンとしていました。
After that, I explained that it was a measure to deal with the declining birthrate and aging population, but she was taken aback.
