今回は宮崎に旅行にいったときの話です。
This blog is about my trip to Miyazaki.
宮崎に青島という幻想的な場所があります。少しだけ離れた島がありまして、そこへ橋を渡っていきます。
Aoshima is a fantastic place in Miyazaki, where we crossed a bridge to a small island.
その島の中央には青島神社があり、その周りには木で覆われて、さらにその周りには段々になっている岩があります。その岩は鬼の洗濯板と言われているそうです。青島神社の島を一周して帰ってきました。
At the center of the island is Aoshima Shrine, surrounded by trees, and around it are rocks that are said to be the washing board of demons. I went around the island and returned.
しかし、宮崎には中国人が本当に多くいるように感じました。正直、私は宮崎に良き日本の伝統を感じにきたので、中国語が聞こえてくると若干冷めます。
However, I felt that there were a lot of Chinese people in Miyazaki. Honestly, I came to Miyazaki to feel the goodness of Japanese tradition, so I felt a little put off when I heard Chinese language.
中国人は、よく言えば、パワフルです。そして、本音を言えば、クソうるせえ。と思ってしまいます。ですので、中国人はどこにいても凄く目立つように感じます。これは日本だけに限らず世界中のどこでも中国人はいますから、本当によく目立つなと思う事があります。
Chinese people can be described as powerful, but to be honest, they can also be quite noisy. Therefore, Chinese people tend to stand out wherever they are, not just in Japan, but all over the world.
私が青島を一周してから、青島から橋を渡って戻ろうとする場所でも外国語が聞こえてきました。そこには少し年配のアジアの方二人で話をしていました。せっかく日本の歴史を味わいにきているのに、聞き慣れない言葉で、どこの外国語だろうと思って、よく耳をすませて聞いてみました。
After I went around Aoshima and returned across the bridge, I heard a foreign language. Two older Asian men were talking, and I strained to listen, trying to figure out what language they were speaking.
宮崎弁でした。
It turned out to be Miyazaki dialect.
