最近は全然、フランス語を勉強出来ていないです。たまには、フランス語を話す機会が欲しいなと思います。

Recently, I haven’t had much opportunity to study French. Sometimes, I wish I had a chance to speak French.

以前には、本当にたまにフランス語カフェなどにも行っていました。フランス語カフェは英語カフェのフランス語版で、フランス人の先生が一つのテーブルにいて、日本人が４・５人そのテーブルに入り、フランス語で会話をします。

In the past, I used to go to French cafes occasionally. A French cafe is like an English conversation cafe, but with a French teacher at each table and 4 or 5 Japanese students conversing in French.

最近は、東京からも少し遠くなった事でフランス語カフェに行く事も本当になくなりました。このまま、フランス語を話せる機会がなくなってしまいそうで悲しいです。いっその事、フランス旅行やセネガルなどにフランス語に触れに行ってみようかな。なんて、そんな事できる身分ではまだないです。

However, because I now live far from Tokyo, I can’t go to French cafes anymore. It’s sad to think that I might not have any more opportunities to speak French. Maybe I should go to France or Senegal to immerse myself in French, but I’m not in a position to do that just yet.

以前までは、私がやっているネットの英語教室でフランス語を教えてくれるヨーロッパ人もいました。ただ、最近はその先生達もあまり授業を持っていないようです。

I used to have a European teacher who taught French in the online English school I attend. However, lately, it seems that the teachers haven’t had many lessons.

講義の数を増やそうかとも思う事もありますが、取れるか分からないフランス語の先生の講義の為に講義数を増やすのはちょっとなと思ってしまうのでとりあえずはこのままで、他にどこかでフランス語に触れる機会を作っていきたいと思います。

I’ve considered increasing the number of lessons to find a French teacher, but I feel that’s a bit excessive. Instead, I’ll look for other opportunities to learn French.

そういえば、今日はフランス語の日でなく、エッフェル塔の日でしたね。エッフェル塔について全く書いていませんでした。今日も俺のエッフェル塔は朝から元気が・・・・。本当に本当にすいません。

By the way, I forgot that today is Eiffel Tower Day, not French Day. I didn’t write anything about the Eiffel Tower. My Eiffel Tower has been doing well since this morning… Sorry for the bad joke!
