これは数年前に書いたブログで、色々と優秀なAIが開発されている現在においては少し状況が変わっているように思っています。

誰もが思っていることかもしれませんが、今後は記憶力よりも検索力の方が大切になってくると思います。もうすでになっているかな？
It may be something that everyone thinks, but I believe that in the future, search skills will become more important than memory skills. Has it already happened?
仕事場であってもネットで調べてすぐに出てくるものであれば覚えておく必要はありません。
Even in the workplace, there is no need to memorize anything that can be easily searched for on the internet.
そして、的確に答えをだせる検索力などは仕事では必要です。
And accurate search skills are necessary in work.
私は独学でプログラミング力を身につけました。
I acquired programming skills through self-study.
その過程において、色々と分からないことが出てきたんですが
During the process, I encountered various things I didn’t know.
だいたいの場合はネットを検索すれば答えが出てきます。
In most cases, I could find the answers by searching on the internet.
ただ、検索するにしても的確な表現で検索しないと正解になかなかたどりつけないんですね。
However, even when searching, if I don’t use precise expressions, it can be challenging to find the correct answer.
言葉が分からないとかならば、簡単にたどりつけますが
If I don’t know the word, it’s easy to find the answer.
機能を追加したいときは、表現方法によって検索結果が変わってきます。
When I want to add a new feature, the search results depend on the way I express it.
最初のうちはなかなか正解にたどりつけないこともありましたが、経験していくうちに少しずつ検索の精度が上がってきました。
At first, it was difficult to find the right answer, but as I gained experience, the accuracy of my searches improved gradually.
私が分からない問題にぶつかったときの対処法としては以下の感じで調べています。
When I encounter a problem I don’t understand, I usually follow the following steps to research:
①検索サイトで調べたいことを調べてみる。
1. Search for the topic on search engines.
②有名なサイト（プログラムならばQiitaなど）で調べてみる
2. Search for information on well-known websites like Qiita for programming.
③正式なドキュメントを検索して読む
3. Search and read the official documentation.
④該当する問題が書かれていそうな本を１冊読む
4. Read a book that seems to address the specific problem.
⑤問題の周辺についても書かれている本を３冊読む
5. Read three books that cover topics related to the problem.
⑥お金を払ってプロのエンジニアに一時間くらい指導してもらう
6. Pay for an hour of guidance from a professional engineer.
私が独学でプログラムを習得したときには、問題にあったときには上のように解決しました。
When I was self-studying programming, I solved problems using the above approach.
本を読む前に、質問サイトなどを使ったこともあったのですが、（一般的なものであればYahoo知恵袋的なサイト）
Before reading books, I sometimes used question-and-answer websites (such as Yahoo Chiebukuro) for help.
ネットの質問の場合には、答えてくれる内容と人柄の質がバラバラなために使わなくなってしまいました。
However, I stopped using internet forums because the quality of answers and the personalities of the responders varied greatly.
最後のお金を払ってプロに指導をしてもらうは、現在までに３回くらい使っていると思います。
I have used paid professional guidance about three times until now.
プログラムの場合には、プロのエンジニアを紹介してくれるサイトも多くあります。
In the case of programming, there are many websites that can connect you with professional engineers.
何度か１ヶ月以上同じ問題に悩んでいたことがありまして、その場合にはお金を払って指導をしてもらっていました。
There have been instances where I struggled with the same problem for over a month, and in those cases, I paid for guidance.
ただ、まずはネットで検索する力を身につけるのがプログラミングだけでなく全ての仕事に大切になってくると思います。
However, I believe that developing the ability to search on the internet is crucial not only for programming but for any job.
